I have been involved with photography, to some degree, all my adult life. There just never seemed enough time to pursue the hobby beyond taking all those wonderful shots of family, vacations, the occasional flower, etc., etc. Then came retirement and the supposed availability of lots of free time.

About 18 months ago, when encouraged to set out a bird feeder, my response was, "What's the point?" The "point" quickly became capturing beautiful images of these fascinating little creatures. From the vantage point of my backyard in Clarksville, Tennessee, I have identified over 40 species of birds during those months.

Nearly all the photos on this website were taken in that backyard. I have ventured out a bit--you will see some engaging shots of lovely Sanibel Island, Florida birds.

I plan to expand the website to include a broad range of nature photography. For now, I hope you enjoy viewing these birds. I can assure you that creating them has been-----fun!!!

Note: The soundtrack during the slideshow on my home page is a selection called "Shall I Sue" from a CD titled "The Wren at the Window," by Red River Breeze, a local Clarksville celtic band, of which I am a member. That is yours truly on the guitar, with Stephanie Taylor on recorder, and Melanie Beck and Byron Dumas on fiddles. Please take a moment to learn more about our band at RedRiverBreeze.com and/or on Facebook (RedRiverBreezeBand). "The Wren at the Window" is available at CDBaby.com.
